According to the bulletin, there were 304,072 lightning strikes in Chongqing in 2018, including 14247 flashes and 289825 negative flashes. From the time point of view, August is a frequent occurrence of lightning, and 164,575 lightnings occurred in the city that month. Geographically, the region with the highest lightning intensity in the city is located in the south of Weinan, Xiushan and Chengkou, with the highest in Weinan. From the time point of view, lightning is more likely to occur from 8:00 to 9:00 pm, reaching 1965 times at the highest, and less frequent lightning from 6 to 7 in the morning.

 

In addition, according to incomplete statistics, there were 7 lightning disasters in the city in 2018, and the direct economic loss was 117,000 yuan.
